J.R. McCotter Recognized for His Service on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Alarm Association
Briscoe Protective Systems has announced that J.R. McCotter, Chief of Technical Services, was recently recognized for his service on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Alarm Association and for his contributions to the association’s Fire Marshal Liaison Committee.
J.R. is a U.S. Navy veteran with over 12 years of experience in the fire alarm industry. He holds a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III certification as a Fire Alarm Engineer. He joined Briscoe in 2008 as its Chief of Technical Services.
“This position allows me to provide any input to ensure the ongoing success of the fire safety business,” said J.R. McCotter. “I am honored to be recognized by this prestigious association.”
The Long Island Alarm Association (LIAA) is a nonprofit organization that encompasses the fire industry’s security and fire alarm professionals. They meet to discuss new rules and regulations within the fire industry and innovative technology that improves various aspects of the business.
